The project above involved reverse engineering a kitchen appliance by disassembling a current product. Using calipers, dimensions of each part were collected to remodel the product. In Solidworks, surface modeling was used to create the hand mixer's body, before further solid modeling and adding features such as ribs, mounting bosses and a lip and groove to connect the two body parts.
To gain skills in 3D modeling and 3D printing this project required the design and modeling a shoe. While other students used a specific shoe maker program, I chose to further develop my Solidworks skills.
