The Shoe Stamp is a 3D printed prototype of a fun, personalised shoe for kids. With an aim to bring a smile to faces, the shoe leaves a print of the child's name when they walk.
The digital 3D model was completed using Solidworks suface modelling, while the foam prototype was done by hand using sandpaper and a dremel tool. Finally, the model was 3D printed to allow the user to experience and test the product.
The final prototype was presented with a container of sand to demonstrate the personalised shoe print.
As mentioned above, the design process progressed from digital modelling to foam prototyping. Rough dimensions were gained from the Solidworks model and were used to shape the prototype to a similar scale.
